About SFHResources

Biography:

Steven Felsenfeld, member of SFH Resources, LLC, has been a counselor and trainer of best practices in Human Resources for over 15 years, in a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), and achieved the status of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) in 2004.

He began his career in cost and management accounting, where he worked in the manufacturing, and, in the multi-site wholesale distribution environment.  He was charged to create and maintain both computerized and manual general ledger records, not limited to payroll, A/R, A/P, and interim and year-end financial statements and closings in accordance with GAAP; while at the request of management, trained staff in financial accounting.

Prior to his admission to the New York State Bar in 1996, he was engaged as a legal assistant in a mid-size (150 attorneys) law firm in New York City in its labor and employment law department, providing service for medium to large size employers and surveying their HR practices.

After opening his own practice in labor and employment law, his largest client – a consumer services concern – requested that he serve in-house as its employment and regulatory counsel.  After 3-years of service to them, he chose to return to private practice, but has continued to provide them with HR guidance and training.

During his many years as counselor and trainer, he has provided strategic and tactical HR guidance to employers with between one employee and 125+; developed hiring and termination strategies, drafting employment manuals, and for example, has investigated EEO and W&H claims, as well as planned and participated in Union Negotiations.
